Pickwell in the Fall

We know fall sounds a bit Americanised, but with 6 acres of woodland to manage, shovelling the fallen leaves makes it seem very appropriate. There are no complaints though about the glorious change of colours the trees display throughout North Devon at this time of year.

This alone is a reason to visit and get away from the city and enjoy an Autumn break; but here are some more:

· The roads are far quieter and you don’t have to book days in advance to get a table at any of our fabulous pubs and restaurants.

· The beaches are now all dog friendly and so are we, with four of our venues now accommodating your hairy friends.

Big surf. The Atlantic swell brings bigger breakers and Autumn means warm water too, so there’s no need to dig your winter wetsuit out of the loft just yet.

· Sub-tropical climate. As a general rule the weather in Devon in Autumn is usually better than any other time of year. The rain falls less, the clouds part more and the sun usually has his hat on. The temperatures may be lower but at least it’s not raining, right?

Plus when you stay with us this October/November we're giving you an extra 20% off when you add 'AUTUMN2021' to your booking!

*Excludes treehouses.

We have had record bookings for this year and already looking busy for 2022, so don’t leave it too late to secure your preferred dates.
