The perfect manor house holiday with up to 20 bedrooms, self-catering accommodation for special occasions and large family gatherings.

Pickwell Manor is set in a beautiful countryside location within six acres of garden and grounds. The grounds offer glorious views over the surrounding Devon countryside to the nearby coast, less than half a mile away. The Manor is just five minutes’ drive from the golden sands of Putsborough beach as well as the pretty village of Georgeham with its quaint pubs, village shop and Post Office. If you prefer to get out into the wild, there is a scenic 20-minute walk down through fields to the beach.

The property has been thoughtfully divided into ten apartments, which retain the building’s historic features at the same time as offering beautiful and well-equipped holiday accommodation.

The Families

Pickwell Manor is owned by two families – the Bakers and the Elliotts. Both families moved off site in 2018, having run Pickwell for 9 years together. Simon and Julia Hawthorne came on board as live-in managers in early 2019.

We think that holidays should be a special time and we’re here to do everything we can to help make them special. We hope that Pickwell Manor will provide the perfect space for you to escape, unwind and recharge.

We are big believers in friendship, family, community and hospitality, and it’s our hope that your stay with us will give you the time and space to celebrate these aspects of life, and that you will feel energised and inspired by this special part of the world.

We’re also committed to investing in the local community and love to see Pickwell Manor serving the people of Devon, as well as those who have come here on holiday. In addition to holidays, Pickwell Manor is also used on a not-for-profit basis to support individuals and charities and help them fulfil their dreams and make a difference.
