Valentines Weekend Retreat.
A return trip to pickwell manor for valentines weekend; last time was our wedding day. Pickwell is now all self catering apartments and it did not disappoint. Welcome drinks, fudge & fresh flowers on arrival a lovely touch. Stayed in the small but perfectly formed chapel. Hot tub enclosed on decking off bedroom was delightfully warm. Kitchen well equipped. Would benefit from some comfortable lounge seating but for size of space you could not have asked for better.

Fantastic two night stay in 'The Den'. Luxury treehouse, beautifully appointed with a hot tub and sauna. Close to the beach, able to walk down from the treehouse and enjoy the coast. Very relaxing stay, brilliant for a winter getaway. Thank you!
Special
We have been stopping at Pickwell Manor for a number of years and still get a magical feeling when we drive through the gates. Perfect for children of all ages but also adults wanting a special break. An ideal base for a surfing trip. Simon and Julia, many thanks, the Manor very special.
A great little find
This is the treehouse that me and Cookie stayed in for the past 5 nights.
It is a 2 person self catering treehouse called ‘the hideaway’ and is set in the grounds of @pickwellmanor
It was the perfect retreat with the hideaway having all the essentials and the layout, amenities and inclusions all very well thought through. We didn’t need to contact Julia or Simon whilst we were there as all the information provided before and during our stay gave us all we needed to know but they live on site and are contactable should they be needed. We did bump in to Julia and their two dogs a couple of times and she checked everything was ok ☺️
Pickwell Manor is located just outside Georgeham, which is walkable. A little further afield is Croyde, Braunton, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. You can walk to the beautiful Putsborough beach in about 20 minutes from the hideaway and plenty of other walks around the area.
Everywhere is super dog friendly which was perfect for my little fur baby!

A slice of heaven
Wonderful gem. We have been holidaying in the area for years and never come across this place before till now.
What a game changer.
My husband and I went for a peaceful adult break without the children, staying in the hideaway tree house. It was stunning. We didn’t see anyone from our tree house the whole time we were there, completely tucked away. The estate grounds are lovely, we wondered around enjoying the history of the estate house and the grounds. The parking pass for putsborough was so handy too. We mainly surfed at Croyde during the day but enjoyed some lovely walks between putsborough and woolacombe beach.
The tree house itself was equipped so well, there was everything you needed. We had nice weather so BBQd out on the balcony for all our meals. The outside hot tub was so peaceful.
The bathroom products were absolutely scrummy and I have already ordered some to have at home.
We will definitely be returning to the larger tree house with the kids.
This place is just lovely, all the little extras have been thought out so well. It was so dark and quiet at night, we absolutely loved checking the stars out from the balcony area.

We had a great week at Pickwell on a family holiday. Spacious and well equipped apartment and the whole Manor House has such a relaxed feel. Beautiful countryside and fantastic nearby beach. Julia and Simon were incredibly helpful in organising things for us.
A wonderful stay in The Loft Treehouse at Pickwell Manor
We stayed in The Loft treehouse. It was absolutely perfect and had everything you need. It was spotlessly clean and there was a lovely bottle of Prosecco and snacks left for us. So we wasted no time and enjoyed the Prosecco in the lovely hot tub! We used the BBQ on the sea view terrace. Such a great BBQ that we are buying one the same for our home.
Pickwell Manor was a trip down memory lane for me as I was 6 when I last stayed here when the Manor House was a hotel (in the 60s). I told Julia one of the owners who was so nice. I showed her for photo and she was kind enough to let me look at the room she thought it was. Which was so great to see. We had such a lovely time there and will definitely be back. Thank you so much to the staff and the owners.
Fab week at Pickwell Manor
We had a fantastic week at Pickwell manor (with fabulous weather!)
The place is perfect for families. The kids spent hours helping to look after the animals and wondering around the grounds.
The nearest beach, Putsborough is one of the nicest we have been to and the beach pass is such an added benefit.
Amazing summer holiday - would 100% recommend, we will be back again next year!
A piece of paradise
Absolutely a piece of paradise ,so peaceful and everything you need, Julie & Simon are so helpful with the local walk and pubs to visit, The view from the loft tree house is stunning, the pub in the village (20 minutes away by foot) has excellent food and good beer, will definitely be back.
Stunning 🤩
My husband and I recently visited “The Loft” a beautiful tree house/ pod that overlooks beautiful scenery at Pickwell Manor Farm. We were treated to welcome nibbles and a bottle of fizz to enjoy, which was a great way for us to christen the luxurious hot tub! We had everything we needed including soft fluffy towels and robes, wood burner and kindling should we have wanted a fire, a gas barbecue on the balcony - which made cooking up our breakfasts super easy. Kitchen amenities were a plenty and the deceptively large bed was like sleeping on a cloud! We also loved the wet room and were so impressed by the design and layout of the pod. It is definitely worth the money. Julia and Simon were really responsive to our txt queries and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds and the animals - a special mention to Peter Rabbit whom we found particularly cute! Thank you Julia and Simon, we cannot wait to return one day to enjoy another slice of heaven. :)
A hidden gem
We stayed in Affinity as a family of four - one 21 year old and one 85 year old / something for everyone here. A beautiful house and the location is second to none! The apartment was spotlessly clean, the management a joy to deal with and the venue itself was beyond our expectations
We will most definitely be back !
Romantic Hideaway Amongst the Trees
I chose the tree house called the Hideaway for our anniversary week holiday as I was looking for somewhere that would provide a romantic atmosphere where we could spend some quality time together, and would hopefully be a world away from our very busy every day life's, and it delivered on all counts, the tree house was nestled amongst the trees and as it was June the woodland was in full bloom, all you could see was the sky appearing between the canopy of the trees and all you could hear was the sound of bird song, it was perfect.
The tree house was immaculately presented and had everything we needed for our romantic getaway week.
Heaven on earth
We stayed at the Den as a family of four and couldn't fault anything. So much to explore, the games room is perfect is weather not 100%, tennis court was fun too. The owners were really friendly and even offered our children to hold and feed the animals. Hot tub, sauna and cold bucket were all extra bonuses. The accommodation itself is modern, simple and very clean and the welcome hamper was an extra special touch.

The hot tub was ready for use as soon as we arrived, there were welcome gifts of prosecco, crisps and chocolate and a lovely comfortable bed. The sea view was fabulous and the whole experience totally enjoyable. Very much recommended.
The perfect getaway!
We had an amazing stay at The Hideaway Treehouse! Such attention to detail and the treehouse was just gorgeous. We loved the hot tub and the swinging chair on the decking, as well as exploring the grounds, seeing the animals, playing games etc. The free parking pass at the beach was a lovely touch. Amazing treehouse
We stay in the Den Tree house which was amazing our two children 6 and 3 absolutely love it. The hot tub and sauna was lovely after a day on the beach.
The kids loves the games room and pixi trail. We will definitely be back again and enjoy more of the views and summer days. Thank you
Absolutely breathtaking
We stayed in The Den which my husband surprised me for my 30th birthday and wow what a surprise it was.!
The Den has beautiful views from the minute you wake up to the sun setting. The interior and layout is lovely. Not forgetting the hot tub, ice bucket and your very own sauna. (Which all the family loved)
There are lots of things to do if you didn’t want to leave pickwell manor (games room, animals, pixie trail, tyre swings). The beach isn’t far either.
We made lots of lovely memories that we will treasure forever.
We would highly recommend pickwell manor and will be definitely returning.
Total gem
5/5 our third visit and Pickwell is an exceptional place to stay. Beautiful location/ apartments so clean.
We have already booked our next visit! We visit with friends but I think would be equally as good for families. Feels very private and each apartment is individual and high quality
